Space To Understand, Room To Grow

Experienced online psychological therapy for individuals (adults and adolescents), couples, families and groups

Welcome

Choosing to begin therapy is a significant step, and finding the right person to work with matters. Percale Psychology offers a calm, confidential and thoughtful space to understand difficulties more fully and to move towards meaningful growth.

The practice is led by Jonathan Percale, a Clinical Psychologist with more than twenty years' experience and a career that has included nearly a decade leading the Department of Psychology at a specialist psychiatric hospital. Whether you are facing something recent or patterns that have followed you for many years, you are welcome here.

All sessions are held online by secure video, so you can work with an experienced psychologist from wherever you are in the UK.

How I can help

I offer psychological therapy for individuals (adults and adolescents), couples, families and groups. People often aren’t sure why they’re approaching a psychologist. There may be a particular difficulty you want to talk through, or simply a sense that something needs attention, even if it’s hard to put into words.

Whatever has brought you here, you are welcome to get in touch, and we can think together about whether this is the right kind of help for you.

A considered, individual approach

No two people arrive with the same story, and therapy works best when it is shaped around the person rather than a diagnosis. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful and unhurried. We begin by understanding what has brought you to therapy, and together we find a way of working that suits you.

My practice draws on psychoanalytic, systemic and group-analytic traditions — ways of working that pay close attention to relationships, to meaning, and to the patterns beneath the surface of a difficulty. Built on many years of clinical experience with a wide range of difficulties, my aim is to offer something both professionally rigorous and genuinely human.

Getting Started

A good place to start is an initial consultation — a confidential, 50-minute conversation, with no obligation to continue, in which we can talk through what you are looking for and decide together whether I am the right person to help. If you feel ready to take the next step, you can book one directly. Or if you have a question first, you are welcome to get in touch.
